  • HI @peepo Are you looking for an HDL UART example of a soft processor picoblaze example?
  • Hi @edtyler  Sorry about the discrepency.  I have asked E14 about this and the latest reponse is the price will not be udpated until the stock is is received and in the system.  The latest ship date for the large stock (which will be placed in all E…

  • E14 received an initital low QTY order on April 7 of bone/pi/edu boards.  I do not know how they distribute to their global distributors or if they only fullfill backoders with these.  Nor do I know how long the process is to update the the stock st…
  • @micronut Good catch.  All of the LOGI-Bone boards have the female headers.  The pictures seen on the sites were early hand built boards  and were never replaced with the offitially MFGd boards.  I hope to push to get these updated with the "2" ve…
  • @tmbarton Excellent!  Very glad to hear.  Please keep us posted on the received stat, etc.   We will work on getting an updated image with the lastest tools to support the board today or tomorrow. Cheers!

  • @edtyler  - where are you located?  I will let E14 know about this.  I have previously brought up the price discrepancy - I will check again what the status is on this.  If you are not in the US there may be associated duties/taxes. The lead tim…

  • @tmbarton The first boards off the latest MFG line have been shipped to e14/farnell.  The stock should be updating soon.  This is a small initial QTY, which will be followed shortly by a large amount of stock.  We hope to not have any further gaps…

  • @peepo Good to know.  There is always the option to reset the FPGA before shutting down:  logi_loader -r   On the lbone we have jumpers to optionally remove/add the BBB i2c lines to the fpga.  We will look into adding this on to the pi as well…
  • @peepo "LogiPi caused Raspberry Pi to reboot when commanded to shutdown via ssh. is this a bug?" Can you clarify the process that leads to the reboot - it is not clear how the logi-pi has any part of the re-boot affect? Are you saying th…
  • @peepo not sure what you are referring to?
  • Hi @Iceage What kind of an application are you targetting?  It sounds like RF, maybe RSSI?   Looks like a good start on your design.  Yeah, I have heard good things about upverter - I'll have to give it try one of these days.  Does it have imp…
  • Hi @peepo Thank you for your thorough feedback it is very useful to have this.  All, well received.  We are in a very strange space in between FPGA users and embedded users and not strongly with an emphasis more on FPGA users who can use the LOGI bo…
  • See your previous thread here:http://valentfx.com/vanilla/discussion/183/howto-move-camera-board-to-fpga#latest @jpiat has some code running, but I belive the full project is not complete.   @jpiat is there any base drivers you can put into the…
in New Camera? Comment by mjones March 2015
  • Hi @peepo Have a look at the MT9V034.  We  currently have a prototpye running, but the camera design is not our highest priority and we don't know how to proceed as the current logi-cam does not pass fcc/ce testing based upon the use of the low co…
  • Hi @tmbarton It sounds like there has been a lot of confusion - sorry about that.  I have notified them that the current MSRP's are listed  in error and they are working on getting it fixed.   I think that the email about no more LOGI boards …

  • Hi There, I believe that we are the ones who are set the MSRP and it is not in Farnellls hands.  We will ensure that you get the same price.  It may take some time to work out, but will be by the time they hit the shelves. Cheers.

  • HI Bruce, Sorry for the wait!  As far as we are aware the price will continue to be $89.  It must have been a mistake of them entering the prices in pounds rather tha US $. The boards have now finished FCC/CE and are being MFGd.  We are p…

  • @Iceage Thanks for the update.  I have added a new upload plugin.  It seems to work for me.  Let me know if you hit an issue.  Would be interested in seeing your schematic.    OpenADC looks like a nice option for high bandwidth stuff and great…
  • VFX has not had a chance to go hear yet.  We are currently finishing MFG, FCC/CE testing for the next LOGI mfg run.  It was quite the processes getting up to speed on EMC!  The boards have passed and will be to E14 soon.   We do have a working LVD…
  • The new LOGI-Pi version has 3 standoff  mounting holes for the b+/2 versions.  Plus a few more features.  E14 should have stock back by the end of march. I still love velcro tape though - arguably on par with duct tape:).  Cheers!
  • Hi There, We are currently MFG the latest LOGI-Pi, which will have a few mods to be better suited for B+/2.  There are added mounting holes for B+/2 and the JTAG connector was moved to avoid shorting on the USB connectors.  There are a few other m…
  • It is updated @  https://github.com/fpga-logi/logi-tools/blob/master/README.md Cheers.

  • Glad it worked out.  Thanks for sharing!
  • Based upon removing all power from the FPGA board this is expected behavior.  You could allso write a startup script in the BBB which loads a given bit file into the FPGA each time it boots.  This would give you full control of the laoding process f…
  • Where is the fpga config file stored after loading it to the fpga?   When loaded the config data is stored in fpga RAM. 3. Power off BeagleBone Black (BBB)  What do you mean by power off the BBB?  Remove power supply?  Are you powering the LOGI…
  • Hi @cybin,  not that I am aware of.   I have not used the PRU.   Maybe @jpiat has?
  • Congrats on the PhD.  EE?  Keep us posted on thoughts for any of the work you are doing! cheers
  • Hi @ajbean Thanks for the post.  E14 and parteners are requiring that we go through full FCC class and CE compliance which is extremely rigorous and difficult to meet, especially with the high speed nature of FPGA technology.  E14 agreed to se…
  • Hope you @madscientist_42 you report back and let us know how your experience with AHIR went.
  • @madscientist_42  Thanks for your input!  I was not familiar with Clash or AHIR.  It is good to seem alteranative HLS options and especially nice for general users who do not want to dive directly into HDL. Cheers!
