This is just a quick message for the Logixx developers; Thanks, and good job.
The inexpensive LogiPi gave me a great platform to both learn some VHDL and, because it's open-source (or at least open-circuit), gave me the confidence to implement our own design shown in the attached picture. It's nothing special, the FPGA has a SPI slave and six PWM outputs and a bunch of other on/off outputs used to drive solenoids (on the lower board, the upper one has the controller and some analogue and digital IO), but it was a learning curve for me that I might not have found so easy without this great board. Out new board was right first time, and a large part of that was because I had the LogiPi as a reference design which meant that as well as referring to the Spartan6 datasheets I could refer to the LogiPi schematics to check that my interpretation of the datasheets was correct; not always an easy job to do with an unfamiliar chip.
So, I'm well pleased, and kudos is due to you guys at ValentFx.
